My journey through internal medicine residency

My publication during my internship at Deccan medical college regarding a young male who was admitted for ulcerative colitis in gastroenterology department and developed stroke.







During my first year of residency i presented a case of a 50 year old woman with Paraparesis and Hyperadrenergic crisis

One of such is the 35 year old man who was previously thought to have viral cardiomyopathy but after taking a  detailed history and we dug deeper we got to know his dietary lifestyle and his habits



This was another 38 year old woman with multiple skin lesions and CKD 

I shared in the beginning one of the causes of CKD in her could be due to usage of antidepressants 
She also had multiple lung lesions  we decided to start on ATT. I also presented this case in the presence of psychiatry department and we discussed regarding antidepressants causing renal failure.

We thought of the possibility of vasculitis and we thought of first initiating att and seeing the response

65 year old man with an anemia for 2.7 and Heart failure

A 55 year old man presented on the 13th of February, 2022 with the complains of  Bilateral lower limb edema since 6 months Reduced urine output since 1 week  Dyspnea since 2 days  He works as tractor driver in a local village nearby. 58 year old man with Dementia

 A 58-year-old, right-handed, married male with a history of alcohol dependence currently in remission over 3 years had presented to our tertiary care rural hospital with a history of  onset slurring of speech,  urinary incontinence since the past 3 months and significant cognitive decline for 8 months. He was absolutely alright 8 months back,  He was found to carry temple belongings without permission around 8 months back when visiting temples and he incurred the rages of priests and family members and therefore was forbidden to attend the nearby temples.  He had significant forgetfulness for daily tasks, people he met or happenings around and he failed for retrieval of names or objects asked.  He became reluctant to shave, shower or bathe independently and would need assistance from his son for these tasks. 62 year old woman with breathlessness

A 60 year old woman presented with the complaints of  Dyspnea at rest since 15 days Left lower limb swelling upto knee since 10 days Reduced urine output since 10 days A 60 year old woman who used to work as a farmer 3 years back, mother of 5 children (3 daughters and 2 sons - 1 son expired, patients attendant reluctant to discuss the cause) presented to the casualty with the complains of dyspnea on exertion since 1 year. 1 year back she visited Osmania hospital for these complaints after which she has been put on medications which she has been using on and off (not documented).
